Lebanon Day 7
Breakfast
Super chilled out day planned for today. Instead our normal hotel breakfast we went out to meet one of David’s friends, Rima, at a hipster healthy breakfast place.
Goofing around
After breakfast, we just goofed around in Beirut visiting a few souvenir shops, and visiting parts of the city we had not seen before.
meat pies
For lunch we had David’s favorite meat pies delivered to the hotel. Just about anything you can think of can be delivered by motorcycle in Beirut.
Beirut Tour
After a few naps we headed back out to get the proper historical Beirut tour from Toufic. We visited the following spots.
- Mosques
- Churches
- Roman Bath
- Old Souk Ruins
Dinner
To end the night we were back in the mountains again for dinner with some of David’s classmates that we had not yet had a chance to meet. The people from Beirut escape the heat in the summer and always head for the mountains. The restaurant was huge (can serve 1,000 people at a time) and had an amazing view. After dinner we continued deeper into the mountain to a quaint little spot for coffee and drinks.
