Exploring Seville

Seville Day 2

Royal Alcázar of Seville

We had the day to ourselves so we booked entrance to the Royal Alcázar of Seville, a royal palace that started construction in the 10th century. In addition to the opulent buildings, the gardens were large and housed many ducks and peacocks. After the Alcazar visit, we grabbed some lunch at a small restaurant just outside of one of Seville’s squares. Since we had a late night planned, we decided to head back to the hotel for a little rest after lunch.

Flamenco Show

As part of our tour, we had an included Flamenco show. It was an hour long show with two singers, three dancers, and a guitar player. The show was full of energy and emotion. We have seen a few Flamenco shows in the base and this was the best so far.

Final Dinner and Soccer/Football

To round out the night and the European portion of our trip, we had a group dinner and the final dinner with our guide, Oscar. After dinner we walked down to a local pub to watch Spain play Georgia in the Euro 2024. Spain won and it was great to be in Spain to watch them win a big game.
