Breakfast
Since we were a little crunched for time, we decided to try the hotel breakfast. That was a mistake. It was very limited and what was available was not good at all.
sainte Chapelle
We had a little bit of time before our planned trip to Versailles, so we bought tickets again for Sainte Chapelle, a gothic-style royal chapel built in the 1200s. Our tickets included access to the Conciergerie, a former courthouse and prison. During the French Revolution, thousands of prisoners, including Marie-Antoinette, were imprisoned, tried, and sentenced at the Conciergerie, then sent to different sites to be executed by the guillotine. The Conciergerie offered a free tablet with an AR feature that showed how the space would have looked at the time.
We hopped back on the metro, grabbed a quick baguette lunch, and then hopped on a bus to Versailles.

We were given a guide-led tour of a small portion of the palace. The palace and gardens were over-the-top opulent and we could see why the French Revolution happened. The areas we visited were packed full to the point where we could not even walk through some doors. It did get to the point where it was pretty uncomfortable.
dinner & Arc de Triomphe
Upon returning back to Paris we grabbed a quick dinner at a corner bistro before taking the train to the Arc de Triomphe. We paid to head up to the roof and then walked up and down the Champs-Élysées.
