London Day 4/Paris Day 1

After the normal mediocre hotel breakfast, we headed to the train station for our morning trip to Paris. The train trip was quick and easy only taking about 2.5 hours.

We booked tickets to visit Sainte Chapelle this afternoon, but we arrived in Paris too late and missed our reserved time slot. Since we could not visit Sainte Chapelle we decided to go on the included Seine River boat tour. After the boat tour, we enjoyed watching all of the influencers attempt to get the perfect photo in front of the Eiffel Tower, even going as far as standing directly in the middle of the road.
We realized we had forgotten to eat lunch so we stopped at the Paris Aquarium for a snack as they had an Asian food festival happening outside.
dinner
We tried a nice Parisian bistro for dinner. The food was simple but tasted great. The waitstaff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and that we enjoyed everything. We ordered a bottle of wine, starters, and dessert. As a thank you, the staff sent us off with an aperitif on the house.
Train ride home and Eiffel Tower
After dinner and we took the train back to the hotel and decided to stop to see the Eiffel Tower at night. When attempting to exit the train station, we were stopped and told we were breaking the rules, even though we had paid for a day pass. There is a lot of fraud with prepaid transit cards and we missed a step or did something wrong. We had a fun discussion with the French transit worker (really his Google Translate app) and paid our €35/person for breaking the rules and we were on our way.
